Craigtoun tree-planting event

A huge thank you to everyone who came along on the 28th Nov and 5th Dec to help us plant trees at Craigtoun Park. The tree-planting felt even more timely than ever, just a few days after Storm Arwen wreaked havoc across the country and uprooted thousands of trees. Luckily we were blessed with fine weather for both tree-planting days, and with the help of around 120 volunteers - including MSP for North East Fife Willie Rennie - we managed to get over 1000 trees in the ground. We hope that visitors to Craigtoun will enjoy watching the new woodland grow and develop over the coming years.

A big thank you also goes to the Friends of Craigtoun, particularly park manager Paul Dickson, for all their help and support, and to our funders The University of St Andrews, NatureScot and The Woodland Trust.
