Hello everyone!
As many of you may already know, Footprint East Neuk has successfully applied to take ownership of Dreelside Woods in Anstruther. We are thrilled about the prospect of owning this beautiful little wild woodland area and hope that the local community and visitors will enjoy spending time there and appreciate the sounds of nature. Although the legal documents are not yet finalised, we are optimistic that this will be completed before summer. In the meantime, we have secured funding from the Crown Estate and other small funders to maintain the woodland area. Additionally, we are working with experts and volunteers to explore ways to enhance biodiversity.
We are also excited to announce that we have received funding from Paths for All and are currently developing a shared-use path project. The path is intended for walking, cycling, and wheeling through Dreelside Woods in Anstruther. The details of the plan are outlined in the quick survey below, and we would appreciate your thoughts!
