Plant a tree with us!
Sunday 11th Feb
11 am - 2 pm
We are thrilled to invite you to plant a tree with us!

Join us in partnership with Anstruther Improvements Association, Forth Rivers Trust, Dreel Burn Project and Balcaskie Wetlands Project to plant 700 trees to create essential habitats for wildlife and restore the burn.

It is an opportunity to work together outdoors to do something positive for nature and wildlife.

We'll provide spades, gloves and refreshments, including soup and a roll to keep you warm. Please bring your mug for hot drinks.

Please wear warm clothes and sturdy footwear.

You can come anytime between 11 am - 2 pm.
The location is Balcormo Farm, where you can park and meet the team.

Here is a precise what3words address:

We will walk you through the field to the tree-planting area from there. Unfortunately, the site is not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies. However, this is a family-friendly event. Kids can come along and plant a tree, play in the fields, and enjoy the fresh air.

It is an FANTASTIC opportunity to get involved in the wetland and woodland habitat development that provides essential habitats for invertebrates and other wildlife and helps combat the climate crisis and biodiversity loss.

Motorbikes, Mushrooms & Roots 18th Feb
10:30 am - 1 pm

Really excited to invite you to a 2-hour event that involves motorbikes, mushrooms, and roots.

We are bringing together three groups of people who share a love for nature and the beauty of Fife: those who enjoy riding their motorcycles through the Fife countryside, those who have a passion for fungi and mushrooms or want to learn about it, and those who promote climate action.

We will start the event at Dreel Halls and include short talks and activities for kids. After that, we will head to Dreel Woods to plant fungi and trees. The event will conclude with a motorbike show in Queens Gardens, where kids can play or plant a tree.

This event is free and family-friendly. We will provide some light refreshments, but please bring your own travel mug.

If you plan to join us, please send us an email so that we can estimate the number of people we should expect.
